I was saddened to hear the news of Etta James' passing today. I grew up listening to a wide variety of music, and her songs were some of my absolute favorite. Every piece she sang had heart and power to it, and that's what makes memorable music that all audiences can appreciate. I have no doubt that her legend and her music will live on for generations to come. This beautiful lady has truly left a song on the heart of those she leaves behind.
